Besides the engine and tranny. what else is interchangeable from the 97 gtp and the monte carlo z34.

I just picked my 97 gtp up today and its awesome. But i want to swap a few things.
The interior trim for the doors.
the electronic mpg/boost thing. (i got a place to put that).
the head rests (mine r falling apart)
rear bucket seats.
rims.
brakes(they r brand new aftermarkets).
fuel pump/tank(again brand new aftermarkets)
my 97 monte carlo vac. lines for the superchargers vac. lines
the dash

thanks all

Nothing on your list will swap except for the fuel pump only. Everything else will take a LOT of custom work. 1st gen w-bodies have some interior parts that can be swapped into your Monte, but nothing really from gen 2's.

Btw, do you have any pics of the 97 GP's rear buckets? I wasn't aware that they had rear buckets.

It's all good. Our 1.5 gens are VERY related to the 1st gens. IIRC, the main difference is the rear suspension. The 2nd gens are a whole new animal. Pretty much everything changed when GM went to the 2nd gens.

If you are looking for rear buckets though, 1st gen Grand Prixs and Cutlass' (and maybe Luminas) came with rear buckets (as an option). That's what I installed in my Monte.
