A pretty rare car! This 1987 Monte Carlo Aero-Coupe SS, affectionately called a name I'd probably get booted off eBay for writing, has been professionally restored, frame-on, and has new paint and leather interior. The stock engine, a 305, has been rebuilt. Transmission: 200 R4. New weatherstrips. Jet Black PPG paint and an aero-straight body, pun intended. 18in wheels, if you don't want them, I've got the stock set, take 1K off the price.
Please call Al with questions at 989-752-7448shop, or my cell at 989-714-7857.

Current bid:
US $1,259.56

thanks custom95....I do respect a nice computer engineered car but nothing beats the classic cars of yesterday....its the basis of design for many of the most popular cars out there...gotta respect the originals

At the end of the 1986 nascar season , chevrolet went testing, and found by putting a more sleeker rear rake window, the car would cut threw the air more cleaner with more downforce on the rear end. So and order for chevrolet to use this car for racing in the 1987 nascar season, chevrolet had to build around 500 montecarlo areo coupe's. NASCAR'S rule's for a new car. So yes this car is very, very rare, as less then 550 were made in 1987 only.

...`Bob, Thanks for sharing the race history, & purpose for the aero coupe....The one on this Thread deserves to belong to a collector. It's to nice for a dailey driver. It needs to be shown to those of our future : )

Very Very Nice find! WOW. I would not think less than 500 miles on a car that old was possible. Damn! Good find Space!

As for the aero design, I personally like the standard design more than the aero design....maybe i'm just used to the 4th gens not having such a slanted rear window.

For 1986 the only color available on the aerocoue was white.

'87 other colors were added such as the popular black and then burgandy.

They say only 200 aerocoupes were made in '86. Information I can't say is true or false.

Owning one has been a long time dream of mine.

I'm just weary of anyone claming ro have a super low mileage 4th gen Monte. Cause there's nothing to stop someone from rolling the car over 100k miles and claiming it's the original first time around mileage on the car. Unless there's documented proof of the car in question.

Space I doubt I'll ever get to own an aerocoupe Monte Carlo. mainly cause I own too many toys as it is. lol
