Default 50 miles per gallon?

So yesterday I made my annual pilgrimage to cheyenne wyoming for fireworks and lots of em. The trip down is 185 miles on the interstate. Spent about 20 miles messin around in cheyenne befor i headed back. So my total trip was roughly 400 miles all together and without filling up once. by the time i got back home i was sitting at half a tank and my fuel consumtion was a little over eight gallons. If im doing my math correctly i did 50 Miles Per Gallon?!?!

Do you know your fuel consumption was only 8 gallons, or are you guessing by the gauge?

Because these cars like to take their time from F to 1/2 and go very fast from 1/2 to E. Many times my gauge looks halfway and it takes over 11 gallons.

Mines the same way now with the SS cluster, I would go fill the tank up and see how many gallons you really used

I think mine is SLOW from F to 1/4 a tank, then the rest of the way the guage seems to have a steady pace.

Check your injectors. You might be running lean.

Really his stuff is all estimated. If he did do 400 miles with 9 gallons that's 44.4mpg
