7th Gen ('06-'07): 2007 Monte Carlo SS Crank Sensor
Last night when I got to work my car became stuck in reverse. Come to find out the bushing on the linkage gave out. Got the car to my mechanic and he repaired it. But when I picked up my car the check engine light came on and the code was P0335. Not the crank sensor again. I had to change the crank sensor on my 2000 Monte Carlo SS. My mechanic cleared the code and told me drive it for a while and see if it clears up. She now rides rough and cranks longer before she starts. Oh, and the tachometer no longer works. Keeps in mind all this was working minus the linkage when I dropped her off. My car aka Merlot cuz she's burgundy; only has 68K miles. Anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance for your input.
After several attempts by mechanic, I took my car to the dealer. They replaced the PCM and reattached the transmission harness, plugged in the speed sensor. Now my ride is good to go.
sounds like they forgot a ground wire the first time lol.
