That's crazy. I hate hearing stories like this. There's no way you could have prepared for it. You need to seriously take her to court over this. If you get another Monte that's an 06 at least get one with the 3900 in it (if not the 5.3L V8).

I have all her information. Insurance is already taking care of everything and I'm also about to lawyer up.

 

If you plan on doing engine mods, perhaps the 3900 is not the engine to buy. I've heard there's not a lot out there as far as mods go.

I would look for an SS, and leave it as is.

 

Good Luck with your Monte hunt- It hurts to see something like this happen to a legendary car. And an SS is always a good bet in my book.

 

Thank god no one was hurt (and you weren't in the car). The damage is MASSIVE, I am surprised the girl who caused it wasn't seriously injured. We can ONLY hope she learns a lesson to not drink and drive (but I doubt it).
A complete shame, but it could have been worse, far worse.
