2006 3.9L V6 Fuel Mileage
The LTZ and LT (Optional) came with a 3.9L V6 with 240 HP is EPA rated at 18 cty/26 hwy MPG. I've been curious, how is the real world mileage in these babies?

I've been getting 21 mpg for a while now. 80/20 hwy/city. My Monte has 69K miles on it. I remember at first when i got it getting about 26 mpg at 16K miles. Not sure what needs replacing now.

my friend has the 3.5 in his impala and only gets about 26-27 highway....and tell me you arent thinking of getting rid of your monte for one that gets better mpgs

when i first got mine with 99,000 miles on it the average was 26.6 mpg but the lady that owned it before me drove 100 miles round trip on the highway every day. After installing my cold air intake and resetting the mpg, I average about 21mpg and I do a good amount of city driving.

Don't kill me, but I'd love to trade my car in for a Mustang today. I just can't afford it. The rest of the board is already aware of this fact and I'm still walking. lol

...Hi `Ted,
I think everyBody should get want they want `if they can afford it...It's no fun having a nice ride `if you can't afford to maintain it, mod it or drive it 4-Sure....
We are not just a Chevy Monte Carlo Forum, I believe we all love many different forms of transportations...
I prefer spaceShips, but I can't afford the fuel : )
