Hi guys and gals, I have not bought yet but am seriously thinking about it 2004 Monte Carlo Intimidator 56541 miles on it one owner like new, can someone let me know what it should be worth ,it is at a GM dealer and is a certified used car, How much trouble is it to get maybe another 30 to 40 HP out off it

 

Pretty easy to get good power out of these motors. Very reliable also.

 

Welcome to the forum, I maybe a little off, but the car your talking about is probably about a $9 to $12,000 car on a good day. But then I may be up in the night. Anyone else???

When my '03 SS was totaled I was looking at a very nice 2004 Dale Earnhart Jr. Monte Carlo SS, only had 16,000 miles on it, was in immaculate condition, nearly jumped on it except it was over $16,000. A CAI is good for at least 10-15HP on a supercharged motor, throw in the downpipe for another 10HP or so, then you can tune the engine for another 10 or HP, you're nearly to 40 already

Ended up getting the Camaro instead, never got to drive the Intimidator though, but I'm sure they're nice.
