Default 2004 MC SS 'intimidator' edition

Hi everyone.

I just bought a used '04 MC (already had another '04 LS in the garage) and I hear that in 2004, only 4000 of them were built. I don't know if that's 4000 across both USA and Canada.
Is there a way to determine which of the 4000 the one I have is...... is there a number stamped somewhere on the car?

Thanks.

I'm only guessing at this but didn't they come with a certificate of authenticity like the JG Montes did?

Yes, they all did. When I purchased mine, it came with a certificate of authenticity stating the number of the build out of the 4000. Sorcier you have the same thing.

I guess the certificate got lost between owner transfers prior to my buying the car. I imagine then that there's nothing physically on the car stating what number it is.....

I know I've seen responses to people who'd lost their certificates and were told to contact Chevy about getting a replacement certificate.

Maybe it works? Or at least worth a try.

I did the same thing. Recently purchased my 04 Intimidator used and it did not have a certificate. I emailed chevy custermer support my vin number and they told me my # out of 4000. If I remember right they said that they couldn't give me a new certificate, but it's worth asking for....

I can check my email after work and see if I can find it and get back to you.

i have one and got a great deal on it. it was at carmax. it was listed as a 2004 mc base model with only 60 miles. i bought it instatnly traded my 00 mc for it. blue book was 35000. i bought it for 19000. i called carmax when i got home paperwork in hand, and certificate of limited edition, and asked to talk to the manager and explained to him how much I enjoyed my buying from them. I also told him to check the value of what I bought compared to the price I paid. after he said oh -boy and said he had to go fire some people.

great site by the way. who on here owns this car that i can ask for help mmaking mods.

I bought mine February '06, 7mo.old, with under 5,000mi, with COA, for $17,900, sticker price of $33,900. Pretty happy with that deal. I've put almost 57,000mi on it since then, and $1,000's into it to get it to where it is now, and still got plans for more.
