Default 2002 climate control lights

my climate control lights dont seem to be working, under my radio. in my 2003, i noticed one light not working but my 02, all of them dont work. i dont think its a fuse because my dash board lights work. how many lights are there and what type of bulbs do i need? thanks!!

The bulbs are soldered/hardwired to the board in the control panel. They are a long life incandescent bulb. If you are handy with a soldiering iron, you can probably source replacement bulbs from ebay. Some have converted them to LEDs (requires a resistor).

If you're capable of doing any soldering go with the led replacement. I just got finished converting my entire car to white leds and it looks 10x better. That green color made it look old!

I was gonna change bulbs to leds in my '03 ss, I put a dome light led and a license tag led and haven't had much luck, the dome flickers and the tag led went in and out so I put the old bulb back in! I bought the blue gauge cluster kit on ebay to change out but now Im leary? someone also told me that leds will cause shorts because they run cooler but draw more power and gm cars wiring especially cant handle it?? any thoughts??
