I can tell you from my travels in the junk yard, there are two different amps. Both amps have two plugs and at least one plug (I believe the small one) is a different connector completely (you can see it in the wiring info I submitted). Otherwise, you might be able to re-pin the connectors to switch amps.

I'm still toying with the idea of putting a Monsoon amp in my Monte. Already tested it and it works. I've learned how to safely pull the pins from the connectors, so my original plan was to re-pin the Monsoon connector with the Monte wires. At the moment, because I am on the fence, I am building a plug-in-play harness. Both amps handle the same sound and speakers completely differently and just not sure which I favor most.

After some more research I found that, as The_Maniac stated, there are 3(+1) sound system setups for the 2000-2005 Monte Carlo. There is a slight difference compared to what The_Maniac stated, and the speaker options per my findings are as follows;

UQ3- Performance Enhanced Audio System
UW6- 6 speakers; dual front door Tweeter and Woofer, dual Extended Range speakers
U62 - Speaker System 4, Dual Coax Front, Dual Coax Package Shelf
U87- Custom speaker system, Premium Audio

U62 - Speaker System 4, Dual Coax Front, Dual Coax Package Shelf
What i found is exactly the same as The_Maniac. Although I'm not sure what U87 could entail.
So far I have found that the amp for UQ3(2000-01) is ACDelco #10309547
I will continue researching, and if I find anything else about these packages like years that each was available, or if there is another that I missed I will be sure to update this post to reflect that.

Listing where I found my info for anyone elses research purposes:

Found this thread while I was looking for info on replacing a bad speaker in my car. I want to be sure to get the right ohm for the rear deck. I have the build sheet for my car and I have 2 codes on it for the sound system.

UN0 - AM/FM STEREO W/CD PLAYER & 200 WATT PREM SOUND SYS.

However above that I have the following code so maybe that throws out the UN0 code?

DEJ - DALE EARNHARDT JR. EDITION * 280 WATT HIGH PERF AUDIO SYS (REPLACES STD/OPT PKG RADIO)

I took a measurement on the speakers and they showed 2.3 ohms. I've never seen a speaker with that before. 2,4,6 sure but not 2.3. So I guess my question is do I get a 2 ohm or 4 ohm speaker? I don't want to ruin anything. I'm not having any luck finding any info on this so any help is greatly appreciated.

FWIW, the late 2001 UQ3 system rear speakers are stamped 4 ohm. In 2000 and early 2001 models, the UQ3 amp had an issue that caused poor sound. I believe the part listed above was probably the corrected replacement.

Well I guess I'm reviving an old thread.
My driver side speaker died... removed it from car and it works fine on a seperate system. A few months later the passenger side died.

I still have the original amp and head unit.
I'm noting this here because i cannot for the life of me find this online - the typical amps that seem common are 10309547 or 10432571... but i have 10532571! Confusing... I'm assuming there may just be some difference in gain or impedance?

Well I'm back at it again.... I've found the exact 10532571 on ebay and ill buy it. I'll also pop open my amp and see if maybe some caps are blown or something that I can handle fixing.

All the caps look good... I guess I'll have to test the wiring now.
