Rear windshield
Dropped my new rear windshield in. Though she's not ready for show, at the least I can drive her. Yes I know, but I believe in driving a car not just let it sit there looking pretty. Now that the window is in and the rear spoiler mounted, I'm going to tackle the opera window frames. Get them painted and slap them on. Looking over the body and finding more defects. I'm going to replace the front bumper cover. To much damage to make it worth fixing. A new/used one will cost a heck of a lot less. Rear bumper needs new paint. Talking about replacing. I think I'm going to replace both front fenders. Cancer has started and I have the replacement graphics for both. Then I'm moving to the interior. New head liner and visor clip on passenger side. Little sew job on the rear seat. Clean, WALAH ready for the show. Next spring!

Number 1 !!!!
Went to the Brick Yard 400 this past week end. Saw the Original 1995 Monte Carlo Pace car in action. I have some film of her. I will put it out when I get back in town. Went looking for her after the race. They dropped her off in the morning then after her track run. Loaded her up and brought her back to storage. She only sees the light of day once a year. No viewing from the public allowed. Next year I'm bringing my 014 OPC and hopefully park her in the infield and get a chance to see the NO 1! The one thing I found out. ALL pace cars are owned by The Indy race track. At least I know G.M. wont sell them. No spell check on this computer. I'll fix all goof ups Saturday next.

Like this thread! I love fifth gens. They are under appreciated. I love my car (98 LS). I wish I had a Z34 though! It has a Z34 nose though. The original LS bumper had a huge crack in it when I got it. Couple months ago, I went to the junkyard, and came upon a 1997 Lumina LTZ the same exact color as my MC, with a near mint bumper. So, I pulled it off and brought it home for 80 bucks. Of course, the Monte Carlo Z34 & Lumina LTZ shared the same nose. But, since the Z34/LTZ had body colored molding on the bottom rather than chrome, that did not match. Last week I found a roll of 'wheel opening molding' that was the same size as the original molding in the bumper, and it looks amazing! Okay, I'm done rambling. I could go on for days about G5's! ONE LAST THING...my great aunt has a purple '97 MC LS...with 26,000 miles. It's like new! Except for the rust under the fuel door...she needs to get that fixed!!!
