Default 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Dale Earnhardt edition engine coolant temperature sensor

I was wondering if on the special Dale Earnhardt edition of the 95 model z34 3.4 l engine do you have to remove the intake to replace the engine coolant temperature sensor

I believe on all the 5th gen Monte Carlo's it is on the side of the radiator.

Default Not on the side of the radiator

Nono it's not on the side of the radiator I found where it's at its underneath the throttle body the problem is is that the throttle body and the intake is one solid piece no bolts.I was wondering if somebody knew of a better way besides pulling the entire intake off to get to it I thought about removing some of the hoses but even then it wouldn't be enough room to put a wrench or socket to get to

Default Not a 99

On the 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Dale Earnhardt special edition z34 the engine coolant temperature sensor is mounted into the intake.I know where it is because I've already seen it and I already got the part I just can't get to it without having to remove the entire intake.what I am asking for help with is if anybody knows of a way to do it without removing the entire intake. Thank you for your input but on a 1999 is not helpful for me

Default Not the same

I I guess that's why they call it a special edition because it's special.I've read that entire page to scarring the entire internet trying to find anything on it and there's hardly nothing out there on it concerning the ECT.if you don't believe me I can show you pictures of the car that I'm actually working on.I wished it was on the side of the radiator that would make life much easier. From what I can tell there's like four or five different engines.the one engine that I have for the special edition Dale Earnhardt car it's very special and I believe they only put it in this car.the ECT for this vehicle is on the backside of the throttle body mounted into the intake.I would say it's mounted into the throttle body but since it's all one piece I'm just going to say it's the intake.I appreciate you looking all over the Internet trying to help me but believe me brother already looked all over the Internet to try to find out.that's why I'm on the forums now and not just finding the answer on the internet.but if you ever figure out how to get it off without removing the entire intake on a 95 Monte Carlo Dale Earnhardt special edition z34 don't hesitate to let me know.

Here is a ink on this forum that was about the low coolant light.

A friend of mine had one of the Dale Earnhardt dealer cars and the only thing that was different was the custom trim package. His window sticker indicated the engine to be a stock Z34. In 97 I wanted to get one and the dealer said the engine was just the z34 stock motor. So I am not sure they didn't make something very special with the engine just the ones I have seen didn't indicate that.
The information link here was for a similar issue last year. that is why I was thinking the sensor was on the radiator.
Sometimes the Chevy dealers can pull up a schematic of the the engine to find the location, and it will give a diagram of an exploded view.

Default 10-4

Thisthis one's definitely different the three two and two three four packages I have seen have a totally different intake than this one's got. I'll try to post some pictures when I get a chance if they'll let me.this is the only 3/4 I've seen so far it has an intake like this where you can't take the trottle body off of it. This one's also got for disc brakes. Some of the emissions components are different too. I appreciate the help.

You've got the sensors mixed up. Coolant level is on the side of the radiator. Coolant temp is on the engine.

I cant be of any help in terms of removing it, I've never worked on a 3.4. Just wanted to help clear that confusion.
