I was talking to a guy on the Intense forums and this is what he said about going rocker/intercooler or cam.

"If you're debating between the 1.9's and the cam, no question asked (IMO) go with the cam! I had a set of 1.9's on the car with a short stack IC. I ended up selling the IC and getting the cam (Had to get rid of the rockers too for some 1.6 adjustable) and I noticed a HUGE difference. Even with loosing the 1.9's and IC. I thought the power gains would be about the same and I wouldn’t really feel it, but I was wrong. the cam is a lot stronger through the entire RPM range so you feel it all the time, it's great and sounds good too. The down side to the cam is the install, but once it's in you'll love it! Good luck."

I have also read similiar opinions on clubgp. So I would say skip rockers and save up for a cam install if you plan on modding that far.

I might cam mine in the future, but I don't plan on it. I'm going for a fast daily driver that still gets good gas. The cam really seams to suck it up.

I agree. That's why I went IC first, to see what kind of HP and MPG I get... after that, a cam will come once I get a second hack around car, so that I can only drive this monte when it's nice outside, and when I wanna go to the track with a cammed intercooled monte =)

Haha, I gotta. I figure, ****, they'll already have the freeking LIM off, and half the engine apart, why not have them throw a new cam in there as well since most of the work is already done. =)
