Default 01 Monte SS

While idling or running, my car has a surge or misfire and will sometimes shut off when I come to a complete stop. Could that be the ECM or a bad fuel injector or something else? I already had a full tune up and oil change. Thanks for your advice.

Could be either (although pcm is extremely unlikely), could be something else altogether (MAF, O2, icm, etc). You need to gather some diagnostic info on it to figure out what's going on. No one can tell you exactly based on the extremely limited info presented here.

Do you have a scan tool that can read engine sensors & engine codes? That's going to be step 1 to start figuring out what's broken here.

Sounds like a dirty MAF sensor. Clean that and if the issue is still there change the fuel filter and/or check the fuel pressure.

Unplug the MAF first and see if the problem goes away.. If not, then try cleaning it. If not, its something else lol..
