Space was also one of the first to welcome me to the forum and I have been here ever since!!! Never once on this forum have I ever been made to feel that I did not belong because I am a female. I left another forum because of that and then I found this one. Monte Carlo Forum has been my home ever since!!!
BBMike...you do an awesome job keeping things active and you do a great job copying Space's style. You come up with stuff I would never think to go look for.
Like Lou said. I am not going anywhere!!! Chevrolet may very well not make another Monte Carlo but I will love Monte Carlos for the rest of my life!!!
Thank you BBMike and all the active members for your contributions to the forum. You never know WHAT tidbit of information will help someone ,so please keep posting your questions, greeting new members, and posting the little things that make YOUR Monte Carlo YOURS!!! Even if you don't currently have a Monte Carlo, you were drawn to this forum for a reason...share your stories, hopes, and dreams!!

Thumbs up >Thank You 4-Sure<

Thanks much again
`Barbara,
You just don't write (say) your words you act them out.
I find to many in life that say they are going to do something, but never do .
I think everyone appreciates someone that is grateful for
those that help and do for others.

You have proven to be a giving, helpful person.
I'm thankful that we have many on the MCF Staff & many
active member's that are helpful.

If this thread does nothing more then to show appreciation for
our staff & active member's (?), then it was worth our investment of our time/life.
+
we really increased the activity on the MCF
My eyes & mind are tired.
I hope the activity continues...
Until next time >EnJoy `Life & and MCF

As Lou mentioned people change and how we get information changes. I know many people switch over to FB for their car stuff because FB is easier to share pics and statements. The sad part is, if I want to find an old post on FB, it's a painful thing. At this time, I can't see a way for FB to run a knowledge base (such as the tech info section we try to keep here).

I was a car guy before owning my Monte, but my interest to mod cars got bigger after owning the Monte and being part of the Monte community.

I think what Devin and Keane shared about how being part of this group helped make them into car guys and it snowballed a new interest is outstanding (or maybe it's a horrible thing because of all the money they now spend on their cars lol).

Some of the car shows and meets I go to are a result of interacting with people online. I think it's great to meet some of the people I've interested with over the years. The primary reason I go every year to the GM Nationals is for this reason.

I believe primary reasons activity on MCF.com is slow are:
1. - Lack of GM continuing the Monte Carlo.
2. - People turning to FB for car stuff.

We cannot do much to anything about #1. And I don't want this forum to "compete" with FB. I feel both the FB pages and this forum have their strengths and their places in the online world. The bigger question is, what can be done here to leverage the strengths of MCF.com (or even develop new strengths for MCF.com) that keep people engaged and wanting to post and be more active?

Thanks

`Jason,
for your posts/words & dedication to our Monte Carlo Family.
Member's don't get to see or know how much time
that you & Admin `Mike put in behind the scene to keep
our MCF running smoothly
It can be a time consuming challenge & many member's
may not know is that none of the MCF Staff is paid for
their time. It's out of pure love for the Chevrolet
Monte Carlo & the owners.

Thanks for posting & sharing your thoughts.
I've never been to face book to search or learn about
cars. I don't belong to facebook . I use my
online free time for the MCF & (****)Joke > Please laugh >lol>

I do think if member's take the time to get to know member's
and do their best to post on threads like our MCF Member's
Blog + participate in our contests & polls that they
will really enjoy the comradeship ( noun: the company & friendship of
others with common interest/goals) here in our Monte Carlo Family.

Member's have to ask questions & help answer them.

* Welcome new member's & invite them to post
in the MCF Blog. Our blog is a great place to meet
and get to know our members.

I really hope this thread encourages member's & I
hope that many will post on this thread with their
idea's to improve our forum & keep it active

Thanks again Admin `Jason & Staff for all
your time/expertise and dedication to
our forum.

It's sad to see this forum slow down, I've notice this as well especially in the winter months, I try to pop up on here everyday. One idea that comes to mind is when we do car shows we can have the site on our shirts, I know that's something I will do, and when I meet with other monte Carlos owners at shows make sure to mention the forum. I'm sure more will show up then

I help run one of the facebook groups, and we try to direct people here when possible. But Jason is correct, facebook is often faster and more convenient to get information.

WoW `Keane, I didn't know that. I will have to check it out. I don't get in2 Facebook, twitter, snap or all those other sites. I mostly use the net for research on things I have a interest in or to learn something new. Also, a lot of online car sites...

Well, I'm thankful that it's not taking you away from the MCF 4-Sure.
I'll have 2 contact my hacker friend from NASA & see if he can close that site (LOL)

Thanks `George for your post/input & good suggestions. Thanks for being a active member I think we need to get member's with signs to stand on the streets of the USA with our web address on it (?) Maybe girls in bathing suits (lol)

Lightbulb Thanks 4 checking this thread...Your turn>>>>

*How to get member's to help other member's.?

* How to get member's to welcome new member's?

* How to get member's to make a check in post on our Blog ?

I find it sad when a new member or active member makes a thread & no one visits it or if they do, they don't attempt to help.

I find it sad when a member ask a question and no one replies

It's sad when we have a poll that only a small percentage of the member's vote I could give several examples, but I'm sure you have seen them.

I also find it sad when a member takes their time to help a member & they never post a thank you to the member that helped them.

Anyone know ? Please let us know Your turn

p.s. Thanks 4 reading
p.s.s. I also find it sad when our member's don't get involved in our MOTM contest & don't nominate or vote Why ? or Why ?
