"VOLTS" idiot light PLEASE HELP

the idiot light that says volts came up
so i replaced the battery and it still comes up the car dosent loose charges it just died down a little. its like all the lights work and all the wipers work everything works
i dunno what to do

please someone help

whats the voltage reading?? it could be that the alternator is on the way out..not completely gone yet though...

let me know what the voltage is reading and i'll let you know if thats good enough...i need to know voltage when car is off and car is running

how do i get the volt reading..
the thing is it happend like all of a sudden

Most likely the voltage regulator is going out in the alternator.
You need to check the voltage and the battery when the car is running with a voltage meter
