Mod Guide: Removing SS Emblem Inserts
I would say go with the depot lights and do black overlays on the "ss" and bowwtie, ditch the monte carlo letters like i did and do black rims or something, you've checked out montewithanls4 car on ls1tech so, don't copy but i think his the best looking non black monte i've ever seen...

no not yet. im not much of a fan of window tint...i still might get it tinted sometime but i would hate to have to take if off someday cus i hate peeling tint at my detail shop
and in Iowa you cant have side window tint
and in Iowa you cant have side window tint
so to save the money and still get the look ive been thinking about painting my rims as after 5 + years of road grime, salt and snow they are not as shiny as they should be and have a little road rash here and there ( roughly plowed streets + curbs = not my fault ) ... but i dont want to paint them, and then hate it ... so heres what im contemplating doing as they are relatively flat and not so ornate rims ...

my only thing is finding the vinyl as inexpensively as possible, because seeing as ive never worked with it before, im sure ill mess up the first one at least once or twice ...
but as far as your car, its looking good so far, just paint the front chrome strip in the grill ... like this -
that horrible red bowtie is gone, before you ask, and you can see the front bumper and its pimples ...
and then the rear end without any badges -
why is it so mad ? huh ... im going for blacked out/ murdered without flat black paint ... why is that mad ???
yeah me too, i just cant afford rims ( i cant condone spending the money, sure i could "afford" it )
so im trying to source out some vinyl and try this myself first, before painting them ...
speaking of which, if i were to paint them, what shade/ style of black should i do ?? gloss black with a gloss clear, or flat black with a satin finish ??

i dont think you could go wrong with painting them the same color as your car WA8555 and clear them...i think that would look good and maybe to your bowtie in red or something idk
i just pulled my inserts off too...i used a flat razor blade, they came right off. then i cleaned the adhesive off with nail polish remover...im going for the red and chrome look, I have the chrome "monte carlo" and "ss" on the back, and the "ss," and "327" on the sides...going to chrome out the front chevy emblem, but dont know what to do on the one on the trunk, remove it or chrome it...what do you all think?
