Default how to put on a new shifter handle

ok i know i said i probably wont do a how to because how simpl it is well i changed my mind because it would be rude to the ones who want to see and if in doubt they dont worrie.

here goes

step one make sure car is off i mean off no joke off no one wants a hurt monte or people around them

step two e-brake and regular break with foot on it and turn key forward to on position
dont turn on follow step one again no one wants to get any one hurt

step four shift the shifter to first gear to give plenty room for a screw driver a philips head mostly some might have a hex double check that befor starting to make sure you have the right driver

step five swap them and you may want to drive it and have it in your hand while driving what i mean have your hand on top because it feels really nice better than the onld walker killer type

remember what i mean about a walker is a zombie so sorry for the confusion

Thanks for this. Ever since renting a new Impala I remember mostly that leather shifter. Habits are hard to break, even with an automatic I still rest my hand on the shifter like I was in a Firebird again.

A safety option would be to block the wheels.

Is it really that easy, remove the screw and it comes off?

yep it is that easy. the reson why i stressed the break is because of my street has alot of kids around playing and i dont know how every neighbor hood is. i know every where is different but it is always good to make sure while doing it it wont roll
