Default Mirror fogging

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS fully Loaded and my mirror keeps looking like there is a fog in it, There is the clear spot on the mirror and then in the middle it looks like a fog. Hard to explain. Any one else see or have this??

Quite a few people have had problems with their rear view mirror and had to replace it, so your problem is not uncommon.

The needle nose tip for removing the light bulbs earlier in this post is a good one, but when I need to remove bulbs in a tight spot I use a slightly different approach. I slide a piece of rubber hose onto the bulb, pinch the hose about an inch below the bulb and pull or twist/pull. Pinching the hose creates a suction inside it when you pull and prevents it from slipping off the bulb. This little trick has worked like a charm every time I've used it.

The mirror has auto-dimming properties, that is done by a special fluid called electrochromic fluid. On hot days if you don't leave your windows cracked, etc, the fluid can start to evaporate. This causes the "fog" look. Need to replace the mirror

I'm on my 3rd mirror because of this stuff, and I could actually use another If your turn off the dimming feature it should go away for now.

An easier way i found accidently is just wrap the tape around the bulb itself and pull the tape down, taking the bulb out with it!!
