There was just a thread on it. You don't need to drop the tank - there's an access hatch between the rear seat and the spare tire well.

Here's the thread: >>https://montecarloforum.com/forum/en...el-pump-32507/

Alright and are the fuel injectors hard to change?

You don't need to get higher flowing fuel injectors if you have an NA L36. The only reason you get higher flowing ones is when your current injectors are maxing out. Otherwise, you're wasting your money, especially considering that anytime you upgrade the injectors you have to get the PCM retuned.

Yooo! I wanted to know if anyone knew the EXACT step by step directions to a L36 to L67 top swap? And also a parts list? I have a 01 Monte SS. I'm not a noob at cars, but I don't have any heavy mechanical experience. I plan on top swapping my Monte in the spring time, and I want it done RIGHT with all RIGHT parts. As of right now, my mods are a catback exhaust with u-bend and res delete, colder plugs, 180 degree thermostat, and fenderwell intake. And also, if there is a kit to recommend, which kit would it be? Would it be cheaper to buy a kit, or get all of the parts from a junkyard? How much is a rough estimate on all parts, and how much SHOULD I look at paying a mechanic to do this for me? Let me know, any info would be useful to me.... Thanks in advance...
