ZZP Turbo Charger kits/Super Charger kits

I would find the top end off another supercharged 3800 and throw a eaton m90 on it. You get more power you want and keep the drivability. You can pick up a m90 for 100-200 bucks. I know you need more but you can ask seller for rest.

cartuning performance makes a great dd turbo kit also. if i was you i would go with either the catruning kit or the zzp z3 kit on a dd car. you can always upgrade either of these kits for more power if you want to. i ran the intercooled cartuning kit on my car pushing 10psi of boost nd the trans lasted me 15,000 miles and had a total of 71,000 miles on it when it died. now trans is built and engine is built and i am making 384whp at 13psi on the stock cartuning kit so they can make major power if you want it or turn down the boost and have a fun dd that isnt insane. but then again i love turbo over sc lol. and btw you can find used turbo kits for sale quite often on clubgp for decently cheap!
x100 be prepared to do trans work once you add any power adder, sc or turbo will turn your trans into a ticking time bomb and destroy it eventually.

Don't know, but will the bottom end of the L36 hold together very long after you top it with the Supercharger? Seems like the Supercharged bottom end would be built stronger or am I wrong????

as long as he isnt running small pulleys without supporting mods and has no knock i think he will be fine. but yes you are correct the l67 is a little stronger than a l36 and also the l67 has lower compression than the l36.

If you run a slightly larger pully like a 4 inch instead of a 3.8 like stock you will only run 6psi boost instead of 8. The bottom end can handle it fine and you will make a little more hp then the l67 because of higher compression. Your power will still be at an acceptable lvl for the tranny to handle so you wont need to build the tranny. Only prob is you will need to buy 93 octane gas. You will outrun stock l67 tho. The l36 you got has 9.4:1 compresion. http://www.fastfieros.com/enginesava...the_l32l67.htm
I know you didnt ask for it but thought I would give you another option that is way cheaper and still gives a little extra pep.

There's a couple basically full S/C kits over at clubgp running for right around $250 shipped. You'd want to make sure the coupler has as little play as possible and the fins are all in good condition along with the rest of the swap parts

I wouldn't top-swap a car from 2000-2002. I have gone over all of the information in various other threads, but basically it's a pain to tune for the supercharger in those years.
The ZZP Z3, non-intercooled, should give you an easy crank 300hp and if you keep the boost low and not drive like a fool you should get good DD ability out of it.
And you ALWAYS have the options of modding and cranking up the boost later.

Just go with your current trans until it goes, you'll have to sooner or later but its really hit or miss with these transmissions, if you don't beat on it too bad you could get some life out of it for quite a while with a turbo or supercharger.... I would still say stay out of fourth gear for sure now unless you get the hardened 4th
