Default ZZP Shift Kit

4t65e

Is this a good buy?
Also should you use the transmission filter they supply or stay with the AC Delco?

Thanks for your help.

How much is ZZP's shift kit?

There is a nice DIY write up over at GPONA.com...probably for under $30.

I would NEVER recommend re-using a trans pan gasket. I normally pan drop, filter, fluid change about every 100K miles. In that time, rubber, paper or cork, the gasket takes a beating (some on the brink of beginning to seep fluid out). If you drop it, change it. If you don't like the one that came with your filter or kit, don't be cheap, buy one you are happy with.

I picked up the kit for $20. It was 50% off for Black Friday.

Is there a direct link to the write up?

Don't worry I will be using a new gasket. Just wanted to ask cause I know there was debate over which filter to use.
If you want to you can come down and change it out this warm weekend.

Not bad. When I changed trans fluids in the past I reuse the factory gasket, it was better quality than what I purchased at autozone.

That's an awesome write up. Going to need to order the spring as well.
