Zzp 1.0 pcm
if the post i had above is right, about the chevy bin files (files that hold the tune), you'd need to inquire with zzp to know if those are the specific bin files used, or if they used a pontiac bin. if they state that it was a chevy bin file, then you may indeed be better off having them reprogram your original (as long as they dont put the wrong bin file on that one) but if they say they used a pontiac bin file, then i'd send theirs back to them for the chevy bin files.
Amy - glad you got the car started.
Yes, everyone who has mentioned the BCM issues is absolutely correct.
All of the vendors are setting up the PCM's for Pontiacs and Buicks, but out Chevy's use a different BCM which can wreak havoc with all sorts of things. You guys mentioned the no-start issue, the ABS light, the airbag light, etc.
And of course, you can't do the 2-minute fan on after key off thing with these due to that as well as silver bullit mentioned.
Hope you get everything worked out.

I had to send my original PCM back to ZZP for them to flash. I just installed it yesterday and things seem to be OK, no idiot lights. I still had to do the security relearn thing to get my car started. But I had everything installed and running in about an hour. I'm going to wait till Monday to send back their core. So hopefully everything is fine.

Wow, after reading all that I'm even more set that I will never be buying the ZZP 1.0 PCM core. I can't afford to have problems like that, which is why I'll save up the extra money to buy a PCM tuner from Hypertech or HPTuners, might be more expensive but you can tune out codes and custom tune the car's dynamics yourself, so much better.
I sent my core back on Sat and already got my refund! ZZP does have great customer service and Turbo Tim has been great through the whole thing!
I had not been having any problems with the lights going on until the other day my ABS, Trac control, P Break lights ALL came on after I did my plugs and had my P break set. I left the neg battery terminal off over night and no lights since. I was gonna try and set the P break again and see if there was something wrong there but I don't wanna set any lights off if they are all off right now. I guess I will find out on my next oil change and let everyone know lol.
Well I am not too happy. I now have the ABS and P Break lights on when I start and drive my car. My PCM is from 3800perf.com who asks you if its a MONTE CARLO and what year so I don't get how they could screw it up. I will drive it more to see if they go off with time but who knows. The only thing so far that will get them to go off is to take off the neg battery cable for a while and hook it back up but I don't wanna do that every time they come on I would be doing it 2-3 times a week but we will see.
I've been driving with my newly tuned PCM for a week now and no problems. Have you ever got your computer scanned? I bought one for about 50 bucks and they will tell you if your car is throwing a code and which one it is and you can also erase it temporarily. Places like Autozone will do it for you, but I think it's just handier to own one.
