6th Gen ('00-'05): Won't crank/start when cold
I bought my '01 from my son's uncle last year and he told me that there was a problem with it starting when it's cold outside, so he put a switch under the dash that's wired right to the starter, which he also had replaced. Last winter I had no issues starting it. Just yesterday and this morning (low 30s) it won't crank or start. When I push the button it fires right up, but only runs for a second and shut off and finally after a few starts it starts and runs like normal. Any ideas? Thanks.
this might not be a starting issue, this could actually be a fuel issue or a problem with the MAF...i believe what somee suggest to do is start the car without the maf and if it stays running thats the issue. hope this helps some
