ive got a 2000 monte carlo ss 3800 n/a 131xxx miles i just recently experienced problems with it starting. i got it started the other day and it was reving high like idleing at 2500-3000 rpm. and when it doesnt start it sounds like its cranking faster than normal. what could make it do this other than the throttle position sensor?

 

it could be a couple of things but I don't want to say what it could be and it wasn't.

but I would have to ask when was the last time you did a tune up and checked all the wires?

the other thing I would check to see if you have some thing loose or check all the air hoses as well.

it would be the first thing I would check. after that go down the list iac maf and coil packs and clean up the conection to the battery as well.

I do have a question when was the lim changed or is it the original one?
