Default Can a bad abs sensor make the engine revs act stange?

Alright so i have a bad right front abs sensor in my 03 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L. Can it mess around with the transmission and rpm's as well? Like ill be driving at about 40mph and the rpms will be at like 2k and then if i put my foot down itll jump to about 2 1/4 rpms the back to 2k and if i put my foot further down it downshifts by 2 gears and jumps to 3500 revs. Ive never noticed my car do that before this abs stuff happened. Can this be caused by my abs sensor being screwed up or am i just being paranoid and this is normal?
