Hey guys check my page on my mods. Converting to a front of the engine belt setup so I can use a 3.0 pulley . What gears should I run, currently on stock gears

 

If you're looking for more performance, then you'll want the highest ratio possible. IIRC, 3.69's are pretty common. But if you want better fuel economy then go with a stock 4T65e-HD of 2.93:1. Otherwise, if you want a little bit of both, then go with a stock 3.29:1 found in the regular 4T65e. Those are the most common. If you change the gear ratio to a different one, you will obviously have to have the PCM retuned.

 

I would never do 3.69 gears in a street car. 2.93 gears turbo guys love and most sc builds I see use 3.29

I'm using a gmr 3.11 set but there very rare and pretty much no one even knows that ratio exists lol needless to say I love the 3.11 ratio on my turbo setup!
