Default Water pump choice for SS Supercharged

Hello guys,
The water pump of my Monte start leaking :-(
I am not in US and my only choice is rockauto.com and their stock.
There are two options available there:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...424056&jsn=714

and

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...424056&jsn=717

Gates is $19, AC Delco is $84, which is huge difference.

Does anyone have any experience with Gates water pumps?

I will appreciate any feedback on this.

Thanks a lot,
Ivo

I don't have first-hand experience with the gates water pump, but that fact that it really isn't mentioning that the whole thing is made of metal makes me weary. I have seen the fins of water pumps just fall apart, and the ACDelco is nice and made of metal.

The ac delco is the better pump and it comes with the better metal gasket. .

A 3800 Series I (and Series I pulley) or a Series III L26 pump with your Series II pulley is the best options.

Below is a pic of my old/original AC Delco Series II pump, stamped steel impeller. The shiny one is the Series III ACDelco 88926207 with a cast aluminum impeller. Better fins help move the coolant more efficiently. I have heard that part number sometimes does and does not come up to the cast aluminum impeller. When I got mine, I contacted ZSPOT and he confirmed and sent one from his work.
His contact info can be found here (very helpful guy):

Thanks for replies guys,

The ACDelco 88926207 looks good option and it is available at rockauto for $25.

I see there is some difference in size but I do not understand it. Can you explain it? See the links.

On ACDELCO 251718: Hub Height 72.14 MM

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...424056&jsn=717

On ACDELCO 252693(88926207): Hub Height 54.61 MM

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...sn=637&jsn=637

Thanks for the help,
Ivo

Honestly not sure about the hub size differences.
Just be careful, I have heard rumor that not all of those Delco part number 88926207 use the cast aluminum impeller. You might want to go with a vendor that can verify. ZSPOT works for the parts department at a dealership. He made sure to comfirm what I was after prior to shipping. Send him an email, he will reply and is always easy to work with and happy to help. Let him know you were referred from this site.

I got the pump and I ordered AC Delco metal gasket as well.
Parts cost was $37 with $51 shipping and $17 import duties...
Meanwhile, I discover my a/c condenser is leaking...
So, I am waiting for it to arrive, then I will do all repairs at ones.
Thanks for your help,
Ivo
