Ok just found a problem for The Monte.

The Snorkel that goes from the plenum to the air filter box on mine is cracked....

I checked with the local dealers and they no longer carry them for a 14 yr old vehicle...
Even the local scrap yards dont have anything for me....(No 1999)
older ones are to short...newer style are different also... apparently
my 1999 Z-34 is "Unique" since it has a 3.8..../Instead of a 3.1

Thought about trying to get into a CAI system... I'd prefer to keep completely stock...

So, if anyone has one they dont need or wont be useing anymore..
Lemme know...Id be willing to take it off your hands!
Paying $$$$ is good also!

Hey Stumpmi, post a pic of it, perhaps I or someone else can source one from a salvage yard. We would need to match it up to be for a compatible W-Body, I'm sure their out there!

 

I don't know if it will fit, but I think I still have mine. I think the tubing would be compatible, not sure about the air box.

 

I've got it, it's in good shape too surprisingly. Let me know if you want it. I only have the clamp that goes to the box side though.

 

Not sure if everyone knows...
But mine isnt super charged....

I was told by the dealer any 3.8, buick or impala 3.8 would also work..
as long as there not super charged (since mine isnt)

Im looking for just the snorkel...(Dont need the filter box)

I just called my local yard and they said that part # doesn't come up in their system...BUT...when I told him it was the air intake duct hose for a '99 Monte w/3.8 he said the same hose (and air box) is used on mid to late 90s Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and late 90s Lumina all w/3.8. Maybe one of the local yards has one of those models in their inventory?

 

If ya had a 3.1 I'd have ya covered. my daughters car died and its getting scrapped

Checked the local scrap yards here in Taylor...
Told them about the other 3.8's that are the same...But
They dont have one from any of them...

Checked Ebay...No dice...
Maybe I need to try craigslist as a last resort...lol
The part is discontinued thru all dealerships here and across the country...
