Default Ugh another hub wheel bearing question.

Hi everyone,
2001 LS 130,000 miles
Standard stuff traction control light is on so I had it scanned. Front left I get in there clean it out, still no fix. I buy a Moog replacement and here is the fun part. Still reading bad front left ABS My mechanic is pretty good he knows where to generally look knows it's a high frequency line and so on. None the less I want some input from you guys as well. Also the scan they used was Solus (Mac Tools).

Thanks for any input to help me save $$$.

How much for a replacement ABS computer and where in the €ŁĄ&@ is it located at?

Thanks again.

So exactly what did you have replaced? Was it a wheel hub/bearing assembly?

Typically when the trac control and/or ABS has issues, it's a failed speed sensor in the wheel hub. I have also seen where the sensor wire some how became severed and a simple wire repair and it was all fixed again.

I had it fixed yesterday. It was the assembly.

Where typically do you see the wire(s) severed at? There was nothing noticeable both when I looked at it cleaning and when he was replacing it. If it is the wire at least I now know my wheel hub is good for awhile. It will at times of cold (30) will work but only until I reach 5mph even after revving the engine up to 50mph in the snow going nowhere. Again not more than 4-6 seconds. When it's warm it's always on reading faulty.

I believe under the airbox is a ground wire, that could also be pretty dirty.

Ill look at that but most likely won't be until this weekend. While I'm there I'll take a pic or two also.
Thanks
