hey everyone who is sayin cartunig has lack of customer support.
i have been told clearly multiple times that a shift kit will be sufficient conssidering you cant put the hammer down anyway.
well whats best and safest way to gain 50 to 100 more hp
oh ok i gotchya. i am looking to beef up the trans if i do get the kit. you know anyone who does a good rebuild kit(not just a shift kit)?

I'm not sure what you are asking. The 4t65 and 4t65hd are virtually the same transmission, with the only major internal differences being a different differential/housing and different chain/sprockets (for a different drive ratio)- the builds for the two transmissions are the same as they share 99% of the same parts- so the weak points are identical, as are the upgrade parts.

i have been doing some research and i have found a few things.....
you can put the ls6 intake manifold on our cars. with modification. below will be a link to that mod..
since that intake manifold will fit so will a supercharger

also if you really wanna crank out some good power the stroke is the same between the ls4 and ls1. so bore the ls4 to ls1 specs i think its like 3.898. get some pistons and rods.. your good to go. since you got the block out you might as well do a cam (still researching) and then also lifters, rocker arms, and springs.
if you do all the intake and bore i would guestimate about 400 hp

the turbo kit was put on a monte.... link below also.

I wouldn't think either a s/c or turbo would effect DOD. DOD should only deactivate cylinders when driving around at part throttle. When you floor it, and your wastegate (or boost bypass valve for s/c) closes- the engine should be running off all 8 cylinders anyways.

the turbo will not mess with it. but the supercharger will. since the supercharger will sit ontop were the intake manifold is the dod system is underneith. since you will need to use an ls6 superchager you will have to make many modifications to the system to make it work. you are better off going with the turbo for many reasons. it is cheaper and more efficient.
i have put alot of time and research into this and have found that you are looking at upwards of 8000 bucks.(superhcarger 10000)assuming you do trans work. and do it all yourself. good luck.
going fast is not a matter of the car but how deep your pockets are
