I have the ZZP 10.5mm wires. But so far, I've only had an issue with the cylinder 1 wire. Could I try bending it back into place?

I'd pop it off the plug and look in the end. Take a look at the metal ring inside to see if its bent or broken. There should be a positive mechanical click when it snaps on the top of the plug.

TBH, that's why most usually avoid aftermarket wires. There's really no benefit over stock wires yet they often have a much higher failure rate. The ZZP ones crack me up the most. They used to have this big article bragging about how they tear off so many competitor parts to replace with stock stuff to make the cars quicker. Now that's gone and they sell most of the stuff they used to rip on. I guess people are going to buy that stuff anyways so they want to cash in.

I've heard good things about these wires: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/t...iew/make/buick

Apparently it's what an aftermarket guy (PRJ) used to make his wires, and you can't find PRJ wires for our cars anymore.

They work well for people who run copper plugs, because the boots hold up. Or just run stock wires.

I have another question. ZZP uses a .68 A/R T4 turbo for their stattama kit. Would a .81 A/R T4 be too big?

What is the reason for doing so? The Stattama kit was developed with more than a decade of racing experience by the record setting FWD 3800 shop. It's been proven to make well over 500 whp and run 10s in the 1/4. If you think between that kit and the thousands and thousands of mods you want to do wont be enough, scrap the whole thing and go bigger displacement. Seriously, there are much better suited engines for making 600++ that would be far more reliable.

To your specific question, I've never been in a .81 3800, but it has been done before. I have been in a .83 T4 3800 and wasn't a fan at all. His converter was too tight so it wouldn't spool well off the line and needed a small shot to get it to leave halfway decent. Also, if I remember right, you don't plan on this being a drag only car. Big turbo + big cam is going to be awful on the street. You're moving all the meat of the power well outside where the engine is going to spend 99% of its life. Just seems backwards to me.

If you really want that much more power, forget the 3800 and go bigger displacement. Seriously. You'll be much happier, itll be more drivable, and itll be more reliable.
The reason I'm going with a .81 isn't really for power, it's the price. It's one of the lowest priced T4 turbos from CX Racing, at only ~300$. ZZP has the .68 T4 T67 listed on their website for 1000$ by itself.

If price is the biggest factor here, why not go on Ebay and pick up a turbo that's at least close to the same size as the ZZP kit? Probably could get one even cheaper than CX.

I dunno, just seems odd to me to spend this much on the build overall, but then just letting price dictate whatever random size turbo happens to be the cheapest.

I found one that's about the same specs as the T67. Ebay Turbo
Are ebay turbos good enough to last a while? I don't know much about the quality of turbochargers from ebay. Also, oil restrictor or no?
