tuning for l32 swap into 2003 monte ss
i recently dropped a subframe out of a 2004 gtp into the 2003 ss... everything is bolted and wired and the car starts but dies after 5 seconds of running.. the security light is blinking on dash... the guy that tuned the pcm says the tune he has wont work because of some tricky settings in the pcm that he learned about a few minutes ago prior to me making this post.... he says i should go to zzp which im not trying to due to time restraints and cost..... what should we do in the tune to correct it.. i cant seem to add the bin file on here but i can send it via facebook.. please add or msg me so i can give you file to look at.... it was tuned with dhp

Odd it starts. When I know of the security system being "armed" you have to do a security relearn to reset the system. But, since it starts, it negates that. It's late, so I'm not thinking 100% clearly, but this may require a TechII to reset part of the security system.

- are there any codes?
- what year/type bin file are you running for it? im assuming 04+ as you are using the 04 harness.
- has the Vin for your car been uploaded to the 04 bin file? your Bcm may not be connecting to the pcm.
- the 04 pcm may not be compatible with your year bcm.
- do you have the drive by wire gas peddle?
Have you considered swapping to a series 2 pcm and throttle body and then running an 03 GTP file? you might even be able to run an 04/05 Monte SS file as those came with the L67 and not l32.

my guess is the 03 BCM is not compatible with an 04 pcm.
has your vin been loaded into the 04 pcm? if not your bcm will not sync with improper vin

You said sub frame from 04 so I figured harness and PCM...
I was not aware the 03 PCM would accept a 04 file. I would have just imported table from the 04 into an 03.
So is it also an 04 Trans? I know the 03 Trans does not work well with earlier pcms, it is possible the Trans doesn't like the older PCM. What is your Facebook? I can look over the bin for you.
