Default Tuners

Well me and a freind have decided to split the costs of a netbook and a tuning suite. At first we planned on getting the HP Tuners set up but it doesnt support V6 mustangs. Anyone know of a tuner that could cover a 2003 monte SS, 2003 Mustang, and a 1997 GTP?

Try the digital horsepower power tuner.

Yeah HPTuners is mostly GM vehicles. You would probably want to get a Diablo or Sniper tuner for a Mustang. I would email HPTuners though about support for a V6 mustang because they don't have every vehicle they support listed on their website. HP tuners is leaps and bounds better than the DHP tuner. The DHP tuner does not let you modify all tables.

The DHP PowrTuner is specifically for GM v6's, and went out of production a few years ago.
It wouldn't really be applicable to this situation.

Yeah I spent about 30 min searching for anything about them until I found that piece of information.... I'm shooting HP an email now. I noticed they support V8 mustangs and lots of V6 vehicles so hopefully the cover the middle ground.

Bump/Update

After 2 hours on google I've found nothing. Some chime in on this for me.

If HPT doesn't support the V6 mustang- why not just buy a PT for the GP and Monte, and then get something specific for the mustang? You can get a used PT for dirt cheap (ie $200 or less)- and it has just as much functionality as HPT, if not more with the new tiny tuner free download.

IMO in terms of the monte and gp, the DHP and HPT are your only two real options (I don't like any of the handhelds or other types of tuners, they don't tend to have all the options of the big two)- so if neither works with the mustang- then it looks like you're going to be forced to do something different for that car.

i have the same year of mustang i have found one for it it is interesting that it has been braught up that there is one hard to find for the mustang. it is the most popular car to modify. superchips jettunners and supperchips are the tuners for the mustang for the v6 and the v8. 1994-2004 models that have the v6 push rod type and ohc v8 ones for the mustang. i would figure that the tuners would be hard to find for the monte carlos to be honest

HPTuners supports almost all (if not all) of the 3800 v6 vehicles, and the DHP Powrtuner was a 3800 specific tuning package. There are also handheld tuners available (though not really recommended honestly) for 3800 Montes.
Either way, the tuners for the Monte are very easy to find.
Finding one compatible with both the Monte and the Mustang is a different story altogether though. HPTuners supports the V8 stangs, but not the V6 ones.

I'm talking to a friend of mine who writes programs at Diablo for you to see if he can do a custom tune for you and how much $$$.
