Default trying out an Ebay "power module"

purchased one off ebay and hooked it up today. easy install right into the IAT sensor. so far i've noticed a tiny bit better throttle response. but a amazing acceleraion increase at higher speeds (80-140km/hr seems like nothing now) i will keep you guys updated a little more. i'm going to spend a couple days testing it while it's hooked up and while it's disconnected.

Hey that air intake that you bought, does that have a port for the Intake Air Temp sensor?

becareful on some of those "power moduals" they are nothign more then a resitor that will short between one or two wires. and can actually dameg things also. so make sure you watch it CLOSE.
but interasting results

when i first got my car it had hesitation on acceleration i bought this resistor to short out the iat sensor and it deleted the hesitation but thats all. what it does is tell the car that its getting colder air so it dumps more fuel. but as long as ur happy with it git r done

This is a scam! Part placebo, part performance. It's tricking your PCM into thinking the air is colder, and it will add a bit of timing.. temporarily giving you a little more power. Eventually, the PCM will compensate, and this will effect your fuel trims, and make you run too rich, or the PCM will default to the bad fuel table, and will lower your timing, and you'll be worse off.

If you want proper performance, pay the real dollars, and get your PCM tuned for your setup, and environment.

Return it, get your money back... That's the most intelligent thing you could do for yourself today.

pulled the "module" today and hooked my IAT back up. CEL came on. i pulled over, removed the lil bastard, and started my car. CEL is now off. so for the record guys, XLR performance was the name of the company. don't waste ur time.

Wise move!! Your PCM needs to see the correct ambient air temperature data for timing and fuel trim calculations as previously stated.
