Default Trouble finding mods for the 3.4L

I just bought my '04 Monte in March. I was pretty pleased with the speed going from a '93 grand prix le. A couple of weeks ago I raced my buddie's four cylindar saturn and got my butt kicked. Granted, it's a stick and it's lighter, but come on. I think I should have waxed him. So, since then i've been looking for mods, and haven't had any luck looking online. Are there any catalogs out there for the new 3.4 monte carlo, or a web site maybe?

Default RE: Trouble finding mods for the 3.4L

Hello Becker,

Welcome to the forum! I have not seen much in the way of lower cost simple bolt ons. If your interested (which I don't think you will be) there are some major high performance componet replacement parts out there i.e. heads/block/cam.

If I were you I would start with the exhaust system, get rid of the Ubend (worth 8HP), open up the intake by either gutting your factory airbox or finding a CIA kit for your 3.4L. I talked to Hypertech last week about a programmer for the 3.4L and they may work on it but there are no immidiate plans to make one.
