Triple Alternator setup
#31
As has been asked, but I believe not answered, if you have a moment, what are you doing with THREE alternators & NINE batteries in a Monte Carlo? Let alone ANY basic "coupe"? "Four-door" ... Anything ... Even a Monte on "pumps & dumps" does not need that much ridiculousness. No, really ...

The power is for my car audio SPL (Sound Pressure Level) system. I'm installing two 18" subwoofers and the amplifier is capable of 14,800 watts. So I need the batteries to supply the power and alternators to maintain the power for the current draw.

It won't be sagging. I got springs from springworks.com and had them made for an additional 1,000 lbs plus K&M performance shocks pre assembled. When I put them on, the back end had no spring action, very stiff. Once I put all the batteries in, the car came down some. It's still a little high on the rear end, but I still have to add a 500 lb enclosure so it will lower to the factory height. The spring assembly rides like the factory ride, nice and smooth.
The only competitions I will enter will probably be local DB Drag in East Michigan

Nice ingenuity for the alternator setup. It seems like you're a person who pays attention to details, so what happened to the "scoops"? The passenger side looks lop-sided. You could've made a oval or teardrop shape with an english wheel that would look infinity times better (and less work). I hope this car is competition only.
