Transmission Tune up
I'm going to drop the transmission pan tomorrow and change out the fuild and filter. Car has 139.xxx miles. Slips only in first gear once in awhile when cold outside. Hopefully doing a tune up well fix problem. How many quarts of fuild well I need? Should I get some Lucas transmission slip fix?

on alot of newer vehicles the computer adjusts the shift pressure when the trans is cold to prevent damage. My 01 silverado would hold first gear for a while then felt like it was slipping when cold.
The Lucas trans additive is amazing. I used it when my silverado hit 100k and I dropped the pan and did the filter and new fluid. I also did the same to my wifes 05 Altima when it hit 100K and I did the same.

Thats good your doling this fluid change, I too second the Lucas Tranny Non-Slip additive, use it on my older truck and it works wonders.
For your fluid change uyou will need approximately 8 qts of Dex VI fluid. I know it does not recommend that high of a grade of fluid in the manual, yet it is GM's top of the line in fighting the internal heat in your tranny. It's all I use in my Monte.
Also it would not hurt to epoxy a magnet inside to your pan bottom close to the drain plug. This will go a long way in capturing errant miniscule metal particles and help prolong your tranny and filter life. Use a chemical grade epoxy, something that can be constantly submerged in a fluid.
You really have to pull on and twist your existing filter to get her out of it's seat. And the new one takes a fair amount of pushing and direct pressure while slightly twisting to get her seated properly. I think I even used a rubber mallet to tap it firmly into it's final position. Exercise due caution to not strip out the bolt holes when you are reinstalling your pan.
Now go get dirty.... Good luck

Sweet you got her done. Sounds like you did her right! And a full synthetic oil change on top of that... Nicely played!
