Transmission fluid or or oil in overflow

Default Transmission fluid or or oil in overflow

i have transmission fluid or oil in my overflow it kinda smells like burnt tranny fluid, the oil is good its not milky and the radiator has green antifreez in it doesnt overheat going down the road or the thermistats out has a ruff idle till it warms up anyone know whats up ?

Year, Model, etc??

The problem could very well be that you have green antifreeze in the car if you are originally dexcool equipped, as the 2 do not mix

1995 monte carlo z34 3.4 dohc my old man seems to think its somthing to do with the radiator its like brown fluid in the overflow the radiator is green the oil is not milky the tranny fluid is nice and red

i would do a full flush or coolant if i were you to start, wont hurt, i dont think oil or trans fluid would make it milky looking.

sounds good im glad its not a cracked head block or head gasket hopefully its just the radiator

If its oil, its more than likely the headgasket. If its tranny fluid, maybe there is something wrong with tranny cooler?

Definitely flush the system and see what that buys you.

im gunna do that thursday complete flush then put a transcooler on and see if it still persists

think i figured it out its stop leak they was sludge gunna start it and run it tommorow see if anything else shows up
