im working on my boys 87 with automatic tranny now someone cut the wires at the firewall and ripped them out! sooo after a few hours of rewiring i got it running and all so were driving and it wont shift out of 1st gear! nothing is wiried the way is is suposta be i "ghetto" rigged the **** outta this car and we need that tranny to shift so my question is, is there some type of vacume line or cable or power wire or somthing that makes it shift from 1st and so on! thank you in advanced!

 

do you have the throttle valve (tv) cable adjusted properly?
