Default Tranny Slippage

We own a 2006 Monte Carlo LS. This car has 175000 miles on it and still in great condition. In the past year we noticed random problems in the trans. When we take off, weather it be a soft take off or hard take off, the trans will hesitate then hit hard and take off. As I said its random. There are days it will not do it then others that it will do it often in the same day. In my self diagnosis I have found it seems to hesitate shifting through the gears also. Not always, making it hard to diagnose. I talked to a trans mechanic at the local dealership. He told me it should pop a code. He ran a scan on it and it did have any codes stored. In the past 30k miles we did have a trans fluid and filter change. Not sure if they did a flush. I have read other posts on here and found similar problems but not exact Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

With 175K on it, and knowing these transmissions, it's definitely time for a rebuild. You could continue driving it until it starts doing it regularly, but you will have to rebuild the trans pretty soon here if you want to get a lot more mileage out of the car.

Agree with the above posts, I think it might be time for a rebuil or replace with low mileage one.
