Default Tranny Issues

Its been a while since i've posted anything on here because of a long cross country trip from NY to Seattle. Before I left NY, the tranny felt a little funny, it would take a little longer to shift than it used to. On the trip out there werent any real problems until i reached the mountains in Wyoming and Utah. Going up mountains in OD it felt like the tranny was slipping, and the car was definitely losing speed. I attributed some of this to hot fluid, the large hills, and the differences in air pressure/volume of air.
I took it to a Chevy dealership out in the seattle area, and they said its either a pressure control switch in the tranny or the MAF sensor. Has anyone experienced problems like this? Did or would a new MAF help solve the problem?

P.S. I am a broke college student

IDK kind of sounds like it could be the Cat to me.

If when it was having troubles, and you put the pedal to the floor, did it hold up for a second, then downshift and rev hard?

I know i have a leak in the resonator, might that be part of it?

Yes it did pause for a second before down shifting. After the shift it still didnt feel like it was climbing well. It felt weak.

Sounds like a cat to me as well. No your leak in the resonator wont effect the transmission.

Based on the fact that you are saying even after it down shifted, it still felt weak, I would lean toward a bad cat too.

Sounds exactly like mine used to before I got the ZZP downpipe.

My resonator also went to crap, it was a good excuse to get the GMPP cat-back

I really like it, it's not obnoxious, and was easy to put on.

Honestly unless I'm WOT you hardly hear it while driving.
