Default Top Swap Wiring Harness

Picking up my top swap parts this week and need to know if I can use the wiring harness from me L36 or if I need one for a L67? Its a 2002 Monte Carlo SS if that makes a difference. ZZP sells L67 wiring adapter kits, will this work with a top swap or just a full L67 swap. Thanks

I'm not exactly sure about what all is needed for a 6th gen, but with 5th gens an L36 wiring harness from a 5th gen works fine. Also, if it's an L67 wiring adaptor, it will work on a top swap.

The L36 harness fuel injector connectors are different than the L67, so you will need to cut and splice the fuel injector connectors (or find adapters) if you are going to use L67 injectors

If you are going to use an L67 MAP sensor, you need an adapter (it's part of the ZZP wiring kit). The L32 MAP sensor plugs right into the L36 harness

You will need the BBV wiring from ZZP if you want to run the Boost Bypass Value

Here's the rub... if you want to run an 04-05 Monte/Impala L67 bin, you either need to make changes to the wiring harness for the O2 sensors, swap to an 04+ L36 (or L67) engine harness, or simply delete the front and rear O2 sensor heater codes from the PCM

Default hey

The bbv will work fine without the solenoid hooked up. Are 02 l67 injectors dif from 99 l67 injectors? My 99 l67 injectors plugged right into my 98 z34 engine harness. On the zzp "l67 swap harnes" bumpin96monte recomends against it.

they should be the same injectors. the L32 has different injectors and i think later L36's might have diff style connectors too, I am no running a topswap on my 98 harness and the only thing i changed was the MAP connector.

I had to cut and splice injector harnesses onto my harness (my car's an 04)
If you don't like cutting and splicing get some adapters.

I used an 04+ GTP Map sensor its a direct plug in and required. I'd suggest getting an 99+ L67 throttle body also. The sensors will transfer over and plug into the harness.

Just did a top swap on my car a few weeks ago.

The 00-05 Monte L36's had a different style injector connector.

Default l67 swap

well, i haven't been on here in quite a while and in need of some assistance...i have a 98 monte z34 and i am going to do a complete l67 swap...the only thing i can think that i may run into is the pcm...i know that i can use my l36 wiring harness with the zzp map sensor wiring kit...the only thing i need assistance with is my pcm...i have read that i can use my current pcm to needing the l67 pcm...my thing is what do i ACTUALLY need to do to make this work with my current bcm, gauges, etc? i do plan on installing a complete used l67 with supercharger...i plan on going through this engine to make sure everything is good to go, to include installing an XP cam, possible headers (this may be a pain due to the mods for clearance of the firewall), and timing chain with the machined front pump cover...i'm just getting very confused on the pcm issue..

the pcm will need to be tuned with a tuner like hp tuners or dhp etc.... you can buy this software and tune it yourself if you feel confident in doing so or you can buy a mail order tune.
