Default throwing codes and smelling gas

Lat last week my CEL went on. I threw the scanner on it and 2 codes showed up. P0101(maf sensor) and p0171(left bank too lean). I tested the fuel pressure and the readings at idle were 38 psi. At 2500rpms it bounced between 42 and 35. The car reaks like gas but I can't see any signs of gas leaks. Also neither the oil or the vaclines smell like gas.

Suggestions? Help?

If your MAF sensor is shot then the car won't know how much air is entering the engine nor how much fuel to dump at it.

You could just be running SUPER rich right now.

Pull ALL your spark plugs and keep track from which cylinders they came from. A plug with light brown or light gray coloring is NORMAL, bright white coloring or a cracked insulator would indicate a LEAN condition in that bank or cylinder (single injector problem) and a very shiny dark or sooty color would indicate a RICH bank or single injector problem. A plug fouled with black oily gunk would indicate an oil ring, coil (would throw code) or valve guide wear issue. A MAP or MAF sensor failure would put the car into "LIMP" mode and still run.

The VERY first thing I would do is clean your MAF sensor with some brake cleaner and clear the codes.

Yep, MAF. Otherwise, gas leak or EVAP problem
