Throttle Body Spacer?
Hey guys, do you think this Throttle Body Spacer is a good buy for me? It would go in my 2001 Monte Carlo SS. Any gains? Losses? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Waste of money. I think the only thing that would be good about getting a t/b spacer is that you could adapt a nitrous system to it. If you're not going to get that, you will get absolutely no hp gains from it. I would like to see you spend your money on something that will actually gain hp.
Edit: I just clicked on the link and they want WAY too much money for that thing. ZZP would sell you one for a fraction of the cost: ZZ Performance

yup. we will save you lots of money and get your car running fast. there are a lot of gimmicks out there and some tricks that work on other cars wont work here. so read thru the "modding your 3800 safely" guide and you should find all that you want.
for starters the things i would suggest are:
#1 is remove the U bend in the exhaust just behind the Cat. ZZPerformance.com, Wbodystore.com all sell drop in replacements or a local shop can fix it. this is a major restriction and needs to go.
2nd is a cold air intake. you can save a bunch of money building one your self.
3rd save money and get a HV2 or HV3 from ZZP it is a drop in replacement for inside your intake manifold. will be a major improvement.
these will get you started.
