i want to mod my car to make it go more and i want to do all the stuff to get to the point of doing a pulley swap like cai, plugs, down pipe, and all that stuff. cause i think i will get the aeroforce guage but i dont need that till i want to put on the pulley right?
You're right. It would be helpful to get a baseline though- if you can find someone local to just run a scan for KR while you go WOT- just to see how high it gets, that can be helpful in letting you know how much modding you'll need to do to do a pulley drop.

The thing about doing the supporting mods first, is they all lower knock- so it isn't really necessary to monitor it as you mod, because all that stuff is just bringing it down anyways- so you wouldn't really need to check until you were ready to buy a pulley.

Its really up to you. Just keep in mind- that after you do your last mod before you want to try going to a pulley- drive your car for a few days before you actually pay attention to the KR # because you want to wait until the PCM learns the fuel trims and such as they will be.

Low KR- definitely not. 0 always, then you could theoretically- but I really bet either way when you swap to a smaller one, you'll end up having KR- and having to fight it back down with mods.

Not to mention, the other mods do add some decent power as well- just not quite what the pulley does.
