Default Started Monte, Rough Idle for a little?

i started my monte up today and noticed it shaking a little. (and no it wasnt just because it was happy to see me). it was only for a few seconds and then it completely went away. its happend a few times.

Cars sitting
Start up
shakes for 5-10 seconds
goes away
shift out of park. on my way.

not sure what could cause this? any ideas?

I had the same problem when I first got my Monte but it seemed to disappear over time. I was guessing it was because of the hot weather... Wish I could help...

I have that same problem! Doesn't happen all the time though. I'm going to be changing out the plugs and wires soon see if that helps any

It could be a a dirty injector that is sticking every now and again. Try running some injector cleaner through your fuel system or take it to a shop and let them service (clean) the injectors.

i used seafoam in the tank with injector cleaner every oil change it never has done that again. it sounds like dirty fuel or crud some where in the fuel system causing a rough start up. i would clean every thing and check the front three plugs just to see if it is getting ready for a change it is just my opinion to check.

My wife's 3400 powered Impala does that sometimes for the first couple of seconds after starting it. It's got a lot of attention (just for good maintenance) but I can't find the cause.
I've done:
- Air and Fuel filters
- Plugs and wires
- New upstream O2 sensor
- Swapped the ICM and coils with known good ones
- Cleaned the MAF

No change. I'm not worrying too much about it, as it is not throwing codes and runs perfect after it starts. Granted, I'd love to know what's the cause.
