ya i've been looking for aeroforce guages for a while, trying to find the lowest price. lowest i saw was 219 for a single. gonna get it soon. im gonna have it dynotuned when the kit gets here and installed so we can pick up on any KR. not gonna do a cam, gonna keep my rockers and get some headers and intercool it. call it a day on the engine. that should be able to reduce me to a 3.5 or 3.4 pulley.
any idea how much boost that would make?

I still think dropping your pulley size is a bad idea. The point of doing the top swap but keeping the l36 and keeping the higher compression is so you don't have to run as much boost to keep the same amount of power as the L67 guys.

Running the stock 3.8 pulley or even a safe 4.0 will still give you the HP gains you want from the boosted kit. I believe on the 3.8 you'll be running 4-5 lbs of boost. On the 3.4 you are getting higher in the boost, maybe 8-10? Your california air is going to probably keep you on the lower numbers in the boost range.

And with your high compression it'll be like a 3.4-3.6 pulley on an l67.

Also you have to keep your transmission in mind, you're going to be pulling a hell of a lot if you keep upping the boost on that stock car.

You are looking to be nearing the 260-280 HP marks, so it's time to start being careful lol

ya, im gonna stick with a 3.8 pulley for now. wait a while and get some more funds.
next is the dual aeroforce gauges along with a trans temp gauge, and the TS grille. maybe the stage 1 throttle body from zzp.

after that, i'll think about the SS intercooler and dropping a pulley size. no rush. i'll have enough fun with the new power haha.

probably think about a tranny rebuild within the next 20k.

thanks for all the help guys, the kit hasnt been shipped yet. still waiting on it to leave zzp.

definately install pics and a video of the dynotune. cant wait!

I wouldn't worry about the transmission rebuild until it breaks, because it may hold. It all depends on how you drive it after you give it all the power lol.

If you start doing tons of launches you will screw it up fast, but if you are smart with your power your transmission will last.

my trans has held with my mods but i cant get on it in 1st cause the 1-2 shift is really soft but a 45 roll is where the fun is anyway. oh and im making about 7-8 psi on a 3.3" pulley, it seems low but its more efficient boost

you did the top swap though right monte01?

im doing the zzp ss m90 kit, pulleys are a little different, but still tons of power.

what do you guys think about the finned aluminum transmission plate zzp offers?

my shop told me that the last time i did a transmission fluid change, the guy who did it threw away the old seal (re-usable) and replaced it with a non reusable seal, and that it doesnt seal properly since it was leaking. they noticed it when they changed my exhaust. they tightened the bolts, but said it might be problematic and recommended changing back the gasket to a new stock one. if im gonna, might as well lower my trans. temp too right?

You can put the SS I/C in OR the full ht I/C. They both fit, kind of. To put in the full stack you have to take off the post on top to hold the shroud on the engine, take off the insulation under the hood (I think), and you MUST put spacers in between the frame and engine cradle to drop the whole thing about a half inch or so. Keegan, "ExplosiveSoundz" did the ZZP build on his car. I drove it from ZZP to Ohio for him. So I KNOW it will fit. Here is a couple of pics:
