msd plugs aren't really going to do that much..really...i wouldn't think so...the wires would look cool but i would stick with ngk 3403 plugs in there...they're half the price of the delco's and they're exactly the same plug cuz ngk makes the delco one...

i would do the msd coils and wires...i wouldn't worry about msd plugs unless you get them for free cuz you buy the rest of the stuff

I'd stick with the AC Delco's because they have a much less failure rate than the MSD's. But don't take my word for it, take it from a shop that does nothing but specialize in racing our engines.

Check out their article: Mods you don't need. http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...les1.php?id=23

Aftermarket coil packs
The stock ignition on a Grand Prix is very good. It is so good that we run stock coil packs on all of our cars at ZZP. Failure rate of stock coil packs is almost zero and the spark output is extremely high. We have A/B dyno tested aftermarket coil packs and seen no difference in HP. We have seen many aftermarket units fail and when customers have a problem it's very hard to diagnose with 'extra' mods on the car.

Aftermarket Plug wires
Unless you have a problem with your stock wires, don't buy aftermarket ones. In our experience of working on GPs the failure rate of aftermarket wires is over 10 times that of stock wires. GM puts everything they have into making cars get the best mileage they can with the least amount of problems. A poor ignition system would increase emissions, which GM couldn't afford. This means plug wires from the factory are designed for high spark, low radio noise and excellent performance. If you’re set on upgrading them forget about MSD and Jacobs. Those are merely the equivalent of stock replacements. Go for the best, run PRJ.
