Sorry to bring back old thread, but I tried to race this car on the freeway the other day and long and behold the (LIMITED TO 107) flashed reminding me to slow down ...[:'(]

time to get it tuned! heck at 110 i still have plenty of power for more! not that i ever need it. personally i've only taken it to 125. just wanted to test my tuning of the shift points and all. besides it waistes a lot of gas! lol

can't you just get a new PCM from someone like DHP or something?

When I first got my car it was governed to 107mph. But somehow through numerous trips to 107 for miles at a time, my limiter is gone.[&:]

I'm not suggesting you hold your car at 107mph for 10 minutes, but since I did, I've had my BONE STOCK, unprogrammed car to 129mph, and the rev limiter is non existant now.

Don't ask me, I'm guessing its some kind of glitch, but its the good kind of glitch if you ask me...

If I have a wide open, straight highway in front I might be found to open it up a little(100mph) but its the thought of a speeding ticket at those speeds that keeps me from going there very often. But I still don't like the thought of a limiter telling me how fast they want me to go!

INTERESTING!
BTW, DHP is no longer in business. HPTuners is the only tuner available NEW anymore. ZZPerformance uses HPTuners to program their PCM's

Damn, glad I didn't go with them for my PCM a while back. I'd be SOL.

I ahd mine retuned at Carolina Auto Masters in Durham, NC. One night not long ago I decided that since there wasn't much traffic, I'd open it up. I got up to 130 between the 209 and the 206 where I had to get off. That was a very short 3 miles.
